About OpenNight

The Home for OpenNight - a collaborative night of opensource music makers to get together and create 1D and 2D Signals and present stuff we are working on.

Signup Here

Open night is a semi-regular meetup of presentations & performances using at least some open-source software. Where people can come along and try out their new open-source based creations in front of an audience, or just have a jam (e.g. patch swap, etc). Usually we have presentations of things people are working on before we start.

So if you been tinkering away and want to show of your work then anyone is free to join in - just add your name on the list below or get in contact on the mailing list or just reply to this mail.

There is a Podcast if you want to hear some.

OpenLab

Main site

OpenLab is a loose collective of artists centred around London, UK, who use and develop open source software and technology for music, art, noise, performances, and just about anything else they feel like doing with it. Openlab organises performances, talks, workshops, events, and beer-y meetings across the UK for like-minded individuals to share and exchange ideas and let loose their creative inner daemons. Our main mission, besides being a support group/drinking club, is to promote the use of open source software and media by demonstrating how damn cool it is.

RULES

You must publish a link to your work on this page before you perform.

  • The safe areas are :
    • Linux
    • Home-built hardware & instruments.
  • As long as you use some significant open-source element it is welcome, but:
    • The more open-source the better, and weighting is given for this.
    • You work has to be published before playing, like, during the day preferably
      • it may be a problem if you don't publish before playing ...
